A survey measured before this project existed can be linked here — doing so also attaches it to the project.
Add Floor Plan

A blank canvas will be generated at the size above. You can draw walls and place devices immediately. No image needed.
Delete Floor Plan?
This removes the floor plan and its image from this device. Cannot be undone.
Device
Unnamed
Outside Any Room
was placed outside
all drawn rooms and landed in Unassigned in the proposal.
Draw a room around it now and give it a name — the device stays exactly where you put it,
and it moves out of Unassigned into that space on the proposal automatically.
Or leave it in Unassigned and reassign it later using the Space dropdown in the device panel.
Set Up Proposal Grouping
Before you start adding devices, decide how each system's items will be organized in this proposal.
By Space — items appear under the room they're placed in. Use this for systems where devices live in specific rooms: audio, video, lighting, networking.
By System — items appear in a single bucket for the whole project. Use this for systems that cover zones (doors, windows, perimeter zones) rather than rooms: surveillance cameras, alarm sensors, fire sensors.
When you plot a device on the floor plan it automatically lands in the proposal under the right area based on this setting.
Changing it after devices are placed won't auto-reorganize anything — you'd need to manually move those items.
Set these before adding devices. Changing them later won't move items that are already placed.

Navigation
Hold Space to temporarily enter pan mode from any tool — drag to scroll, release to return.
Two-finger scroll pans in any direction. Pinch zooms in/out.
Shift + scroll zooms with a mouse wheel. F fits the plan to screen. + / − step through zoom levels.
Press T to toggle the keyboard shortcut legend.
Getting Started
Pick a project from the left panel. Buildings and floor plans for that project appear below it.
Add a building with + next to Buildings, then add floor plans (levels) under it.
Click a floor plan to open it in the canvas. Upload an image to begin tracing.
Upload & Image
Upload Image sets the background for this floor plan. JPG, PNG, or PDF page.
The opacity slider in the toolbar fades the image so traced walls are easier to see.
BG color sets the canvas background — try a warm cream to make the masked plan easier on the eyes.
Plan Image in Canvas Settings: Line Drawing keeps only the plan's lines, in a color you pick. As Is shows the image as uploaded. Hide Color removes a chosen color (usually white), and the background shows through.
Tools
W — Wall tool. R — Room tool. V — Device tool. M — Measure tool.
Device layers: click a layer row to activate it, Esc to deactivate.
Device icons: edit in the icon picker, Save writes the icon to the database and updates all placed instances immediately.
Labels: Drag a device's name chip anywhere, and a line ties it back to its icon. Near its spot under the icon it snaps back, and near straight above, below or beside the icon it lines up; hold Shift to place it freely. Right-click the device and choose Reset Label Position to put it back under the icon.
Walls and Rooms
From Walls: In the Room tool, click inside a walled space to make it a room. Rooms already drawn count as walls, so open floor fills around them. Click inside an existing room to fit it to its walls.
Gaps: Drag a line across a gap, or across open floor, and the space closes there. The line is only for filling and is never saved; Esc takes back the last one. Red rings mark wall ends that meet nothing.
Slide: Select a wall, then drag it, or drag any room edge. Walls meeting it stretch, and rooms along it grow or shrink with it.
While sliding: The space to the nearest wall on each side shows in feet and inches. The edge stops at equal space on both sides, in line with other walls, and where it started. Hold Shift to slide freely; Esc puts it back.
Shared corners: Dragging a room corner moves every room corner on that spot. Hold Alt to move just the one.
Devices on walls: Place or drag a device near a wall and it mounts on the side you came from; the wall cuts its icon, and a camera aimed into the wall turns to face out. Sliding the wall carries it. Hold Shift to place a device freely. In-ceiling speakers never mount.
